  1. Alaska was a beneficial to the U.S.A. for many reasons.

It had alot of great resources like fish and forests. They found gold in 1896 but the fish and forests were worth more. They also had oil which had a giant oil pipe leading back to the U.S.A. since oil was plentiful there. Russia offered to sell it to us in 1867. Most Americans thought it was a bad idea. William Seward convinced Congress to buy Alaska which was called Sewards Folly.

Theodore Roosevelt helped improve the U.S in many different ways. Some of the many things he did was saving National Parks and forests. He also started The Pure Food and Drug Act and The Meat Inspection Act. By doing that he made sure that harmful bacteria or no chemicals were in the food. He also wanted the factories that made the food to be clean.

Teddy also was the assisstant secretary of the U.S Navy. He told the U.S to fight Spain. He created the Rough Riders. The Rough Riders were a bunch of cowboys, African Americans, and Americans. Last but not least, he helped build the Panama Canal, so now we can ride faster and easier from coast to coast.Theodore Roosevelt was a very good person to change the U.S.

Life for a solider in ww1 was harsh.
Soliders had to live and eat in dirty trenches.
Soliders lives were dangerous because of the new weapons like tanks, grenades, and poison gas. Some soilders used poison gas incorrectly and some soilders died. Some soilders sacerficed their lives so they could save other soilders lives.Soilders were afraid to die beacause they didn't want to loose their family.

Theodore Roosevelt helped to improve the US a lot. Teddy made the pure food and drug act and the meat inspection act. The pure food and drug act made sure no harmful chemicels were in the meat. The meat inspection act made sure the meat had nothing else in it but meat. Teddy also saved national forestes, he set aside millions of acers of land for national parks and wilderness areas. TR also made a group callled the rough riders they fought and won in the battle of San Juan Hill.
